On June 22, 2011, after 17-year hunting, the FBI finally arrested one of Boston’s most infamous gangsters named James “Whitey” Bulger. Here is the list we compiled about infamous fugitives worldwide.


 


James “Whitey” Bulger


82-year-old James “Whitey” Bulger, one of Boston’s most infamous gangsters, is a former Irish-American mob boss and longtime Federal fugitive with a list of alleged crimes including money laundering, extortion, drug dealing and 19 murders. He is one of the FBI’s most-wanted men in the world, after al-Qaeda leader Bin Laden who was killed in May and also the oldest person ever to be added to the list. In 1999, the FBI has suspended two million dollars for anyone capturing Bulger but then he was arrested in Santa Monica.

In 1989, this infamous criminal was executed by Florida’s electric chair at the age of 43.

James Earl Ray



James Earl Ray eventually became one of the most notorious murderers of all time after assassinating civil rights hero Martin Luther King Jr. in Memphis on April 4, 1968. Ray was taken into prison for a 99-year punishment; however, he died in prison of hepatitis C at the age of 70 in 1998


 


Ruth Eisemann-Schier



Eisemann-Schier was the first woman to be added on the FBI’s most-wanted list in 1968 for the kidnapping of Barbara Jane Mackle and extortion


 


Thomas James Holden



Holden was accused of robbery and prison breaks in the 1920s and ’30s, then arrested at a golf course in Kansas. In 1950, he continued relating to murdering his wife and two sons in Chicago. Later, he was arrested in Oregon in 1951 and died in prison


 


Daniel Andreas San Diego



In April 2009, Daniel Andreas San Diego became the first American to be named in the FBI’s most wanted terrorists for the bombing of two buildings in San Francisco


 


Donald Eugene Webb



Donald Eugene Webb holds the record of the most time spent on the FBI’s most-wanted list for crime of beating police Chief Gregory Adams and then killing himself by shooting twice at close range
