Magic the gathering: "How many consuming abberation are you allowed to have in a deck?"?

i put 2 consuming abberation in my deck but my friend said it’s illegal deck , althought i think i can’t have 2 of them in a battlefield but i can put 2 of them in a deck , who do you think is right?

he said that it’s promo card

Chosen Answer:

Your friend needs to get his facts straight. You are permitted to have 4 of them in your deck and since they are not legendary, you can have all 4 of them on the field at the same time. Your friend is just trying to cheat to win.

It doesnt matter if the card is a promo or not, you can use it. The only time when the promos cannot be used in your deck is during some prereleases where they tell you that you cannot use that card in the deck you are building right then. Outside of the Prerelease, you are More than welcome to use the card in your deck.
